I started working in the Law as a Legal Secretary when I left college at the age of 17. I worked in London, and worked in all Legal Departments of a Law Firm, and realised that I wished to pursue a career in Conveyancing. I worked as a Conveyancing Secretary for many years and I qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2005 and continued to work for the same Company as a Licensed Conveyancer, after that time. Unfortunately, in 2008 the company that I was working for was affected by the recession, as were many others, and there was not enough work for me. After a lot of soul searching and trying to get other work, with the support of my family, I decided to start my own business, which I am glad to say has continued to grow from that time.

After working as a surveyor’s assistant in 2013-14, an opportunity arose for me to join the family business. I started working for Homden Property Lawyers in 2014 as an Office Junior. Towards the end of 2014, I started training in accounts and have since become Accounts/Business Manager with a range of responsibilities within the company.

Kevin is a Solicitor with over thirty years experience in residential conveyancing matters. Kevin started in the law at the age of 18, initially training as a Legal Executive before being admitted as a solicitor in 1999. Kevin worked at the same Kent based firm from 1990 until recently joining Homden Property Lawyers. Kevin deals with all types of residential conveyancing matters.

Outside the office Kevin is a keen runner, having completed a number of marathons and overseas ultramarathons. When not running, Kevin can often be found river fishing trying to catch barbel and chub, or indeed anything that is willing to bite.

I left School before my 16th Birthday and started a Pitman's Youth Training Scheme. My placement was in a local firm of Solicitors based in Gravesend who shortly after employed me as their Office Junior. I the progressed to a Legal Secretary and now a Personal Assistant. I have worked with Lorraine Homden for many years in different firms of Solicitors and I now work for Lorraine and have a great pleasure in being part of the team in helping the firm thrive.
